Why this guide exists
Planning a visit to Ljubljana seems deceptively simple until real logistics intervene: the castle courtyard is completely free to enter, but taking the funicular without understanding ticket tiers can leave you paying for exhibitions you do not need; public buses strictly reject cash fares, requiring an Urbana smart card or contactless bank card tap; and the celebrated Odprta kuhna street food market operates exclusively on clear Fridays, disappearing entirely under rainy skies.
Every admission price, transit tariff, and operating schedule here is read directly off official municipal and museum pages, checked quarterly, and stamped with the verification date. When an official body does not state a figure, our pages state that clearly rather than inventing a plausible number.

What we do not claim
There is no invented author persona here, no fictional character claiming to reside in a specific quarter of Old Town, and no pretense that someone from this editorial team stood in a specific admissions line on a specific morning. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours, and we do not inspect museums or audit tour operators.
We also handle no direct ticket transactions.
